Exhibition ‘Choices in Almersdorp’

Step into Almersdorp, an indoor mini-village built in authentic 1940s style. Walk past a grocery shop, a traditional pub, a classroom, a cottage, a printing house, and more. This unique 225 m² exhibition allows you to truly experience the daily life of civilians during the Second World War.

With the handy story guidebook, you can discover the personal choices and stories of that time at your own pace. The exhibition is wheelchair accessible (except for the attic) and is often a nostalgic experience for the elderly.

Exhibition 'Road to Freedom'

Discover the forgotten heroes and unknown military operations of the Second World War that were essential to our freedom. From the logistical power of the Red Ball Express, which was necessary to supply 3 million soldiers for months, to the construction of high-risk emergency bridges after the Germans had destroyed all routes over water.

Walk the route of liberation yourself with the Story Map. The exhibition covers 900 m² and is fully wheelchair-friendly, including a lift.
