Buffet & Catering
The Museum team is happy to provide Buffet & Catering for you in style from Rosi’s Gaarkeuken during your group arrangement!
With Live-Cooking, we are pleased to prepare a 1, 2, or 3-course buffet for you on original Second World War field kitchens. We can also provide a delicious 1940s-style bread table, with various additional options such as a croquette roll or freshly prepared soup beforehand. Between activities, we can serve a selection of Dutch snacks and/or nuts and savory bites. Upon arrival, we would be delighted to provide a true tasting for you with homemade War Cake made according to a family recipe.

1, 2, or 3-Course Buffet
Depending on your wishes and the available budget, we can prepare a 1, 2, or 3-course buffet for you on Second World War field kitchens. During the cooking process, you can watch and receive an explanation from the Museum Chef about how cooking on original field kitchens works and how 3 million soldiers were fed for months so they could liberate us.

Starters
We are happy to serve our freshly prepared soups as a starter, such as tomato and/or vegetable soup. These delicious soups include white and brown baguette with herb butter, aioli, and Paturain.

Buffets
We highly recommend the very flavorful ‘Blauwe Hap’ buffet, which is an extensive nasi table. We will share the history and army tradition beforehand. A delicious dish with a story!

Desserts
Enjoy the ice cream buffet for dessert! Delicious scoops of vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream with a choice of various sauces and toppings. Finally, of course, a large dollop of whipped cream on top and enjoy!

War Cake or Pastries
Almost all groups choose the freshly prepared War Cake, made according to a family recipe, upon arrival. The housewives of that time still managed to put something delicious on the table for celebrations; come and taste it!

Basic Savory Snacks
Enjoy drinks and Basic Savory Snacks between group activities. We will place enamel bowls with salted peanuts, cocktail nuts, pretzel sticks & 2 types of chips on the tables for you.

Extensive Savory Snacks
An upgrade of the basic savory snacks includes cheese cubes, sausage slices, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes. It is also possible to add rounds of Dutch bittergarnituur (fried snacks) alongside the chosen snack variety.
